Policing Matters was established in 2010 by Dr Mark Kilgallon, with the purpose of creating an applied learning environment within which ethical leaders can flourish. Harnessing a team of outstanding leaders in their fields we’ve established a values based association with a strong commitment to compassion, understanding, forgiveness, community and delivery.

Dr Mark has spent the last 18 years helping to develop leaders in the public and private sector. A successful qualified Executive coach and mentor he combines a strong drive for performance with a deep-rooted connection to strong ethical values. His practically focused delivery style is supported by a significant academic foundation and this combination helps clients achieve sustained success. Mark has substantial experience in developing demanding and testing executive development programmes that confront the challenges facing leaders within their environments.

His work with the UK police service is recognised as being a world leader in its field. He has also carried out work for the FBI. Mark passionately believes in creating safe learning environement within which a diverse group of leaders can come together and ‘help and be helped’ through the context, connections and complexities that face modern leaders. He has a strong committment to equality & diversity and believes people should be allowed to develop their ‘legitimate strangeness’. Mark’s successful Executive Coaching has led him to have extensive experience in delivering challenging leadership development programmes to police staff and officers. He has a PhD – in the Police Organisational Culture.

Last year with forcer ACC Brian Langston Mark connected with over 7k police officers and staff, helping them with their self-awareness, self-convidence and further developing their personal and professional performance.
